What is it?

Clinical Canine Massage Therapy is an holistic, non invasive 100% drug free therapy which looks to treat the whole of the dogs body not just the area of concern. A Canine Massage Guild qualified massage therapist will never just look at an area of concern, but the body as a whole and will treat accordingly.

Clinical Canine Massage Therapy helps to rehabilitate soft tissue and muscular injuries such as strains, sprains and tight ‘knots’ within the muscle known as trigger points. Massage can also help to support orthopaedic conditions such as arthritis, hip or elbow dysplasia and luxating patella. Also neurological and other conditions (See Conditions).

The 4 disciplines of massage used encompassing over 50 techniques from Swedish, Deep Tissue,  Sports massage, and Myofascial Release techniques that work on the 700 muscles that pull on the 320 bones in the canine body. Issues with these muscles and connecting fascia change the way that your dog moves, creating further problems and pain. In order for the ‘normal’ movement of a dog to return these issues need to be located, identified and restored to normal function.

Improvements in a dog’s mobility, activity and pain levels can often be achieved in 1 – 3 sessions of this holistic, non-invasive and  100% drug-free, results-driven therapy.
